What an amazing young lady I have been entrusted with. I think I take for granted just how great she really is. I am always so busy I don't stop to realize how much she does to help me. She has a huge heart that she shares with everyone around her.
Emma loves to read! For her birthday,my Mom and her Aunts got her 2 different chapter book series; Judy Moody and Super Fudge. In the first day she had read 2 of the books. She had completed both series in less that 2 weeks! I tell her she should do something besides read but she doesn't think so. She says, "But Mom, you always say reading is good for me!" LOL.

Emma is very witty and quick on her feet. For example, She was upstairs and asked me to get her a shirt from off the couch. I threw it up the stairs and when she asked me where it was I said, " I threw it up" Emma's response (with a smirk) " Gross! I don't want to wear it now!!"
Emma is still in the Dual Language program at school. She will be starting 3rd grade this year. She is still loving Spanish. She won't speak it frequently or infront of me but I do catch her speaking with her Daddy and Abuela & she likes to teach Miguel a few words here and there. She sounds so precious! I can't wait til she is comfortable speaking it all the time.
Emma has been taking gymnastics which she loves. We (meaning I) took a break from it this summer, so she spends everyday swimming at my Moms instead. Emma still loves animals and still wants to be a vet when she is all grown up. She has added being a Mom to her list as well. :)I love my beautiful baby girl. I am so blessed and lucky to have her as my daughter.
