The kids had a snow day yesterday and Emma was terribly bored (after being home an hour longer than normal). She suggested we do a photo shoot with Benji. It was a lot of fun and I think we captured every look of his. Enjoy :)

He had to wear his sisters hat to go outside and when he looked at me with those big brown eyes I thought..."Well if Emma never get's a sister she could always dress up Gabe and pretend." : D
When he was a baby no matter what we dressed him in people always called him a girl. It must be those big brown "Tavares" eyes and those LONG eyelashes!

Let it snow...

Miguel has been begging for snow ever since he determined it was winter. He was greatly disappointed when we went to Florida and not only was there no evergreen trees(which apparently you have to have for it to be Christmas) there was also no snow!! He has been patiently waiting for it to snow here...So, when we got our light dusting the other day they all had to go out and enjoy it, of course! :)

What the heck???

My little girl...cute, shy, timid little Emma kayaked through the Everglades!! Can you all believe that!? I couldn't...but she did and she had a blast. I'm so glad she isn't like me in this respect. I'm always too afraid to do stuff like that. :) But she got in like it was no big deal...gators and all...(makes me shiver just thinking about it)

Christmas in Florida

It was our year to go to Ces' parents home in Utah for Christmas, but DANG IT! his brother who is in medical school was busy with rotations and his dear sweet wife invited us to Florida instead. Well, who are we to refuse such a generous offer to go to sunny & warm Florida and spend Christmas by the beach, I ask you? Nobody, that's who! And thanks to Ces' wonderful parents we were able to fly instead of drive :)

We had a wonderful time!! Michelle, is a wonderful host, the weather was beautiful and we were able to do some really fun stuff. We went to the beach, which is Miguel's favorite, at least 5 times or so. He was in heaven. It's one of the things he misses the most about Boston so we were so excited to be able to take him again.

We were very sad to have to leave but hopefully we can visit again very soon. :) We are so very blessed with a wonderful family and we had such a great time!
