Playdough Family

Emma requested our family be made out of playdough. Of course, I did it. Who doesn't like to play with playdough?! I'm rather impressed with my artistic ability so I had to share...

and yes, we all have beautiful golden tans just like them :D

Camp out!

Emma was out of school for winter vacation. She is very much a homebody so we did a lot of staying at home. She had a couple play dates with friends but then her and Gabe came down with a cold. (which turned into RSV for Gabe) Ces and I had some fun things planned for Friday and Saturday but we had to do some quick brainstorming to find something else to make the weekend fun for sick babies. So, I decided to have a camp out in the living room. We have lived in this apartment for almost three years and never used the fireplace so I decided it was time. We cooked hotdogs and then marshmallows for s'mores. The kids had so much fun. Miguel has a little play tent that I set up too. Miguel has been begging for another camp out everyday since. We will eventually have to take them camping for real so they don't grow up thinking that this is a real camp out :)




Miguel was funny. He had to cook his hotdog all by himself. He was thought the fire was amazing!! He would get as close as he possibley could without us freaking out and then he would hold his hotdog in the fire for about 2 seconds and say "ok, it's good." He ate about 4 of them!

Saturday fun!

Last weekend Ces attended the JRCLS Conference at the law school. So the kids and I were on our own. So we decided to do some craft projects, which they always love. We made these cute litle animals. The blue one is a kitty that was named Sweetheart and the other is a puppy which was lovingly named Dinosaur. Can you guess who's is who's?

Then they had to have homes, of course! So i cut a box in half and let them go to town painting.

It was a fun day. We also watched a movie and had some Burger King! I love hanging out with these kiddos. They are a ton of fun!

100 days!

Remember "100 day" in school? I do and I was so excited when Emma came home with her 100 day project. For those of you who didn't do this. To celebrate the 100th day of school you get choose 100 of something (marshmallows, pennies, noodles, etc. ) and then make something with it. Emma chose to use noodles. This is what she made.

I was so proud of her. She thought of this all on her own. I drew the butterfly on the paper then she glued the noodles on. I thought it turned out so cute! Ces said when he took her to school, whenever someone said to her she would hold up her butterfly and say Hi. Then when she got into her classroom, she really wanted to show her teacher Miss Sarah. Miss Sarah was talking with someone so Emma stood at her feet and held up her picture until she noticed. Miss Sarah put it on the wall and Emma was just glowing with pride!

On Stage!

Last week Emma had her very first assembly at school where her kindergarten class was on singing on stage. She was so excited and begged her Daddy and I to come and watch and of course we did. She was so cute. Here are some pics. They aren't great because I was I was far away and my camera died after three pics :(

A Daddy's dream come true.

Ces has always loved paintball. He used to play for a sponsored team and all. When we had Emma he would talk about when she got older they would play together. He wanted all of his children to play paintball with him. Emma loved to watch her Daddy play when she was little but has never showed in interest in playing. Well, last week Miguel went to the paintball store with his Daddy and was completely intrigued. He tells his friend at Emma's school (a Dad of Emma's friend) that when he gets bigger he is going to shoot paintballs with his Daddy and they will hit people and go "Splat!" It was so cute. When Ces got back from paintballing last weekend Miguel was able to help him clean his gun. They were both in heaven.

Snow! Snow! Snow!

A couple weeks ago it snowed all day. We had been stuck inside for a few days because Emma had been sick. So instead of staying inside like most people would have, we went out and played. We got a lot of looks from people walking by thinking we were nuts. But we had fun :) Here are some pictures.

This is Miguel's newest look. He is being Racer X from Speed Racer. He wears the hat and glasses everywhere, in stores, to pick up Emma, he's even taken a naps in them.
